Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease in view of laparoscopic surgery

The review article highlights some ideas and experience related to laparoscopic surgical treatment for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.

It is based on the experience at our centre where 3 036 laparoscopic antireflux surgeries for gastro-oesophageal reflux and hiatal

hernia were performed in 14 years. Significant chapters include considerations on preoperative tests, indications and contraindications

for operations, and operative technique.
